Mayor Cavecche's record, both as a City Councilwoman and as Mayor, reflects her commitment to keeping Orange safe for all of us. She has been a tireless watchdog for the taxpayers. Carolyn has cut city government to the bone while not reducing vital Police and Fire Services. She reformed the contracting practices of Orange by demanding that the city's trash services be put out to bid for the first time. This resulted in millions of dollars in savings for residents.
Earlier this year, Carolyn signed the ordinance requiring sex offenders to post a sign in front of their homes on Halloween warning parents and children to stay away and she is currently championing a "Family Watch" program that will partner Police resources and neighborhoods to better protect where they live.
Carolyn has always understood that a resident's home is the greatest investment they will ever make. This is why she aggressively cracked down on group "Party Houses" in Orange. Mayor Cavecche is also the author of the City's day laborer ordinance that prohibits soliticiting on private proterty and in our neighborhoods.
